It's an ideal place to discover several landscapes thanks to nice little hikes! The Mediterranean, the vineyards or the scrubland, everything is there! Come for a walk, I'll take you on the paths.
Let's go, I start by parking on the parking lot of the Nicola Karabatic sports hall. I get straight to the heart of the matter and yes, it climbs hard to the top of Pioch Michel (150 meters of difference in altitude about). So, I advise you to take good shoes, water and a cap in the middle of summer.
Waouhou a first break is needed, right next to the sports course.
I discover a breathtaking and indescribable view: a green sea of garrigue followed by an azure blue colour: this is the Mediterranean; I come across experienced mountain bikers who stop to take a dose.
I then continue on the small ridge that allows me to have on one side the sea and on the other a wild expanse: Holm oaks, thyme and rosemary as far as the eye can see.
Second break after passing the cistern: the view is just as breathtaking as the first: an exceptional panorama of the coast and the lagoon. Calm and cicada song are on the program, I decide to take a little nap in the shade of the pines. I find it difficult to close my eyes as the varied landscapes make me so much of an eye-catcher.
On the IGN map, we arrive at Pioch Madame. I reassure you right away, we don't need this map because there is a leaflet at the tourist office.
The descent is, for me, easy, after a small path, I find myself in a quiet housing estate around the gym. That's it, I see my car, I enjoyed myself! I drove 6 km in all, 3 km of which were with an unobstructed view of the whole town of Frontignan La Peyrade.
